At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible - from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.
We're looking for a Process Engineer – Drone Manufacturing to develop, implement, and improve the manufacturing and assembly processes behind our electronic drone components and complete drone platforms.
You'll bridge product development and day-to-day manufacturing, translating engineering requirements into reliable and scalable production processes while working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes for drone electronics, subsystems, and complete drone platforms
Translate product requirements, drawings, and engineering data into reliable and scalable manufacturing methods
Review product designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) and recommend improvements
Define production processes, tooling, fixtures, equipment, work instructions, inspection points, and testing requirements
Support prototype builds, New Product Introduction (NPI), production transfer, ramp-up, and implementation of product and process changes
Develop and improve in-process inspection, functional testing, end-of-line testing, and process validation activities
Investigate production and process issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions
Improve process capability, yield, cycle time, quality, efficiency, and scalability through standardization, automation, waste reduction, and continuous improvement
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
Professional experience in process, manufacturing, production, industrial engineering, or a closely related technical role
Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes for electronic, electromechanical, or mechanically integrated products
Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly, soldering, ESD control, component handling, and functional testing
Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and improving manufacturing or assembly processes
Ability to work with technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, work instructions, process documentation, and engineering changes
Experience with structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, process validation, and continuous improvement
Strong analytical, cross-functional communication, and English language skills
Experience with PCBAs, ESCs, flight controllers, batteries, propulsion systems, or complete drone assembly
Experience with NPI, prototype builds, production transfer, or production ramp-up
Knowledge of DFM/DFA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process-improvement methodologies
Familiarity with manufacturing systems, automation, CAD, or test and data-acquisition tools
