About Orqa FPV

Founded in 2018 in Croatia, Orqa has grown from a hardware consulting firm into one of Europe’s leading drone technology companies. We design and manufacture advanced FPV and unmanned systems used by enterprise, industrial, and defense clients worldwide. With fully vertically integrated operations — covering design, electronics, optics, firmware, software, and in-house manufacturing — we maintain complete control over quality, performance, and supply chain reliability. This allows us to iterate quickly, optimize every part of the system, and deliver products that meet demanding real-world requirements. Today, Orqa products are used in more than 50 countries, with over 100,000 units delivered in 2024. Our mission is to build the enabling technologies for the future of Remote Reality and set new standards in the aerial robotics industry.

At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible - from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.

We're looking for a Mid/Senior PCB Hardware Engineer to help design the electronic foundations behind Orqa's next generation of drones, FPV systems, video transmission technologies, and remote controllers.

In this role, you'll take ownership of complex electronic designs from schematic capture through PCB layout, prototyping, testing, and production. Because we develop and manufacture our products in-house, you'll have the opportunity to see your designs evolve from concept to real-world deployment, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams every step of the way.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop complex schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts for advanced electronic systems

  • Design, prototype, test, and debug hardware throughout the product development lifecycle

  • Design for signal integrity, power integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability

  • Support EMI/EMC compliance and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with hardware, embedded, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate electronics into complete products

  • Perform hardware validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis

  • Drive continuous design improvements and support production readiness activities

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • 3+ years of professional experience in electronic hardware design

  • Hands-on experience with professional PCB design tools (e.g. Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar)

  • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design principles

  • Experience with multi-layer PCB design, routing, and hardware debugging

  • Familiarity with power electronics and embedded hardware systems

  • Hands-on mentality, including soldering, prototyping, and laboratory testing

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Professional working proficiency in English

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, MIPI, LVDS, or USB 3.0

  • Experience with RF design and wireless communication systems

  • Familiarity with FPGA or embedded systems architectures

  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, drone, robotics, or other high-reliability industries

  • Passion for FPV drones, aviation, or emerging technologies
