Are you a final-year student passionate about embedded systems and eager to work on real engineering challenges?
Join the first ORQA Embedded Academy — a five-week hybrid program starting on 24 August 2026, designed for talented final-year students who want to gain practical experience, learn from experienced embedded engineers, and accelerate the start of their careers.
Throughout the Academy, you'll build your own embedded system while learning the technologies and engineering practices used by ORQA engineers.
Outstanding participants will be considered for future career opportunities at ORQA.
WHAT YOU’LL BUILD
Hand-solder hardware components and bring up your own board
Develop a real product stage by stage, writing the complete RTOS-based firmware
Debug real bus traffic using logic analyzers and USB protocol analyzers
Work with production-style Git workflows and code reviews
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN (Technologies & Skills)
How to read technical datasheets and translate them into working, documented drivers
Microcontroller internals: clock trees, interrupts, and peripheral configuration
USB device and host class implementation
FreeRTOS fundamentals: tasks, priorities, and producer-consumer pipelines
How to structure a production-ready firmware project
WHO CAN APPLY?
We're looking for motivated final-year students in:
Electrical Engineering
Computer Engineering
Computer Science
or related technical fields
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of C programming
Basic knowledge of Git
Basic knowledge of embedded systems
Motivation to learn and solve engineering challenges
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process consists of two stages:
1. Technical Assignment
An online technical assessment designed to evaluate your programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills
2. Interview
Selected candidates will be invited to a technical and motivational interview with the ORQA team
5 participants will be selected for the Academy

On-site lectures and workshops every Monday and Thursday

Independent remote assignments between sessions
