At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible – from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.
We’re looking for a Mobile QA Engineer to take ownership of our mobile test automation architecture and mobile app quality processes across iOS and Android ecosystems.
In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of mobile automation and real-world edge-case validation, collaborating closely with software engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers in an Agile environment. You will design mobile automation frameworks, capture crash logs, inspect network traffic, and validate app behavior across diverse screen sizes, OS versions, and real-world conditions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Perform end-to-end manual and automated testing on iOS and Android native/hybrid applications
Build and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium or native frameworks (XCUITest, Espresso)
Validate application behavior across various device configurations, screen resolutions, OS versions, and manufacturer skins
Test real-world mobile scenarios, including network switching (Wi-Fi/4G/5G), interrupt handling (incoming calls/notifications), battery consumption, and background-to-foreground transitions
Capture and analyze mobile system logs (via ADB or Xcode) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry) to attach detailed diagnostic data to bug tickets
Manage beta app distribution via TestFlight, Google Play Console (Internal Testing), or Firebase App Distribution
Intercept and mock mobile network traffic using proxy tools (Charles Proxy, Fiddler, Proxyman) to test backend edge cases
WHAT WE EXPECT
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience
Solid understanding of QA principles, test design techniques, boundary value analysis, and end-to-end SDLC in Agile/Scrum environments
Hands-on experience with mobile testing tools and automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest)
Proficiency with platform SDKs and diagnostic tools: Android Studio (ADB, Logcat) and Xcode (Simulators, Instruments)
Experience with mobile network proxy tools (Charles Proxy, Fiddler, Proxyman) and crash monitoring platforms (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry)
Familiarity with beta distribution platforms (TestFlight, Google Play Console) and managing real-device test beds or cloud testing services (e.g., AWS Device Farm)
Practical experience with bug-tracking tools (Jira, ClickUp, Confluence) and version control (Git)
Exceptional analytical skills, sharp attention to detail, and a proactive mindset toward defect prevention and root-cause analysis
Excellent written and spoken English skills with strong collaborative traits
