About Orqa FPV

Founded in 2018 in Croatia, Orqa has grown from a hardware consulting firm into one of Europe’s leading drone technology companies. We design and manufacture advanced FPV and unmanned systems used by enterprise, industrial, and defense clients worldwide. With fully vertically integrated operations — covering design, electronics, optics, firmware, software, and in-house manufacturing — we maintain complete control over quality, performance, and supply chain reliability. This allows us to iterate quickly, optimize every part of the system, and deliver products that meet demanding real-world requirements. Today, Orqa products are used in more than 50 countries, with over 100,000 units delivered in 2024. Our mission is to build the enabling technologies for the future of Remote Reality and set new standards in the aerial robotics industry.

At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible - from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.

We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Equipment & Automation to develop, integrate, and improve the equipment and automation behind our manufacturing operations.

You'll turn production and engineering requirements into practical technical solutions - from tooling and fixtures to automated systems - and support their journey from specification and implementation through commissioning, production integration, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Define technical requirements and develop solutions for manufacturing equipment, production tooling, fixtures, test equipment, and automation systems

  • Translate production, process, quality, safety, and capacity requirements into practical equipment and automation specifications

  • Support the design and integration of equipment layouts, workstations, tooling, fixtures, and automated production systems

  • Coordinate equipment installation, start-up, commissioning, validation, ramp-up, and handover to Production and Maintenance

  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, control, robotics, software, vision, data-collection, and safety systems

  • Support equipment testing and acceptance activities, including FAT, SAT, functional testing, safety verification, and performance validation

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, automation faults, and tooling issues, driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Improve equipment capability, availability, reliability, cycle time, maintainability, and production scalability through automation and continuous improvement

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Professional experience in manufacturing, equipment, automation, process, industrial, controls engineering, or a closely related technical role

  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, production tooling, fixtures, automation systems, industrial controls, and equipment integration

  • Experience with equipment implementation, installation, commissioning, production integration, and troubleshooting

  • Working knowledge of technical drawings, equipment specifications, electrical and pneumatic diagrams, process documentation, and engineering changes

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, control, automation, and machine-safety systems

  • Experience with structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement

  • Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with working proficiency in English

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, robotics, machine vision, sensors, actuators, MES, or automated test systems

  • Experience with equipment commissioning and acceptance activities, including FAT, SAT, safety verification, or equipment capability assessment

  • Knowledge of machine safeguarding, risk assessment, functional safety, or related industrial safety practices

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation, industrial software, or similar process-improvement methodologies
