About Orqa FPV

Founded in 2018 in Croatia, Orqa has grown from a hardware consulting firm into one of Europe’s leading drone technology companies. We design and manufacture advanced FPV and unmanned systems used by enterprise, industrial, and defense clients worldwide. With fully vertically integrated operations — covering design, electronics, optics, firmware, software, and in-house manufacturing — we maintain complete control over quality, performance, and supply chain reliability. This allows us to iterate quickly, optimize every part of the system, and deliver products that meet demanding real-world requirements. Today, Orqa products are used in more than 50 countries, with over 100,000 units delivered in 2024. Our mission is to build the enabling technologies for the future of Remote Reality and set new standards in the aerial robotics industry.

At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible - from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.

We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and continuously improve the processes and technical solutions behind our manufacturing operations.

You'll work at the intersection of Engineering and Production, turning product designs and requirements into reliable, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes. From prototype builds and DFM/DFA to production ramp-up, tooling, equipment, and automation, you'll help shape how our products move from engineering into production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes

  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and related manufacturing documentation

  • Collaborate with Design and Engineering on DFM/DFA and lead prototype builds across EVT, DVT, and PVT phases to identify manufacturing and assembly issues early

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce cycle times, production bottlenecks, scrap, and waste while improving workstation ergonomics and overall efficiency

  • Define technical requirements and support the design, selection, and implementation of manufacturing equipment, production tooling, fixtures, test equipment, and production lines

  • Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, validation, ramp-up, and handover, including relevant functional and performance testing

  • Support the integration and improvement of automation, controls, robotics, vision, data-collection, and other technical systems within manufacturing

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing, equipment, and process issues, perform structured root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvements

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Professional experience in manufacturing, equipment, automation, process, industrial, controls engineering, or a closely related technical role

  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, production equipment, tooling, fixtures, and related technical solutions

  • Experience developing, implementing, documenting, or improving manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, or automation systems

  • Ability to work with technical drawings, equipment specifications, electrical and pneumatic diagrams, process documentation, and engineering changes

  • Practical understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, control, automation, and machine-safety systems

  • Experience with structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement

  • Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with working proficiency in English

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with DFM/DFA, prototype builds, NPI, or EVT/DVT/PVT product development phases

  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, robotics, machine vision, sensors, actuators, MES, or automated test systems

  • Experience with equipment commissioning and acceptance activities, including FAT, SAT, safety verification, or equipment capability assessment

  • Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation, machine safety, or related manufacturing and process-improvement methodologies
