At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible - from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.
As a Camera Vision Specialist, you will work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software — collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality real‑time camera systems for drone applications, both for operator viewing and automated vision tasks.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Define imaging requirements for EO and IR cameras and evaluate sensors (visible and thermal) and lenses for performance, environmental conditions, and mission needs
Design and tune image signal processing (ISP) pipelines to achieve optimal image quality, low latency, dynamic range control, noise reduction, and color/thermal calibration
Integrate and optimize algorithms (including CNN and deep learning methods) for correcting image artifacts, enhancing quality, object detection, and other computer vision tasks relevant to drone payloads
Work with embedded engineers on firmware, camera drivers (e.g., MIPI CSI‑2), and ISP controls; ensure real‑time performance on platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson, ARM SoCs, or FPGAs
Develop test plans, calibrate sensors and optics, and validate full imaging system performance in both lab and field conditions
Partner with hardware, software, controls, gimbal, and flight‑control teams to integrate and optimize the camera system for complete UAV solutions
WHAT WE EXPECT:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related field
0–5 years of experience
Solid foundational knowledge in optics, sensors, ISP concepts, and imaging
Hands‑on experience with imaging systems, sensor selection, pipeline tuning, and algorithm deployment
Proficiency in Python or C/C++ with the ability to develop and deploy vision algorithms
Capable of owning subsystems and contributing to architecture decisions
Driven to take on increasing responsibility within the imaging and camera pipeline
BONUS:
Experience with drone/UAV integrations and low‑latency video pipelines
Familiarity with libcamera, camera calibration toolkits, or embedded vision accelerators
Understanding of communication protocols (MIPI, LVDS) relevant to camera systems
