We're looking for a Head of Quality Assurance with demonstrated success in establishing and enhancing a full-scale Quality Management System (QMS), the deep, hands-on knowledge of ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110 required to lead compliance with military and government quality standards, and exceptional leadership skills to build and mentor a team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Develop and implement a full-scale Quality Management System (QMS) from scratch, establishing all procedures, policies, and documentation to actively track and maintain our ISO 9001 certification
- Lead the company to AQAP 2110 compliance, managing the entire process to meet NATO's strict quality assurance requirements for design, development, and production
- Establish a robust internal audit program to monitor and enforce quality standards across all manufacturing stages, from incoming materials to final product testing
- Manage all external quality audits by government and military bodies, serving as the company's primary point of contact for quality compliance
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality ownership
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement to implement proactive quality controls that prevent defects and ensure full traceability

REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven experience in a senior quality assurance role, ideally within the defense, aerospace, or a highly regulated manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated success in maintaining and enhancing an existing QMS, not just achieving initial certification
- Deep, hands-on knowledge and experience with ISO 900 and AQAP 2110
- Familiarity with additional defense-related standards such as AS9100 and CMMI is highly valued
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and train personnel across all departments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to quality management. - Knowledge of UAS or complex electronic systems is highly desirable
