About Orqa FPV

Founded in 2018 in Croatia, Orqa has grown from a hardware consulting firm into one of Europe’s leading drone technology companies. We design and manufacture advanced FPV and unmanned systems used by enterprise, industrial, and defense clients worldwide. With fully vertically integrated operations — covering design, electronics, optics, firmware, software, and in-house manufacturing — we maintain complete control over quality, performance, and supply chain reliability. This allows us to iterate quickly, optimize every part of the system, and deliver products that meet demanding real-world requirements. Today, Orqa products are used in more than 50 countries, with over 100,000 units delivered in 2024. Our mission is to build the enabling technologies for the future of Remote Reality and set new standards in the aerial robotics industry.

At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible - from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.

As an Embedded QA Test Engineer, your primary focus will be on validating firmware and hardware systems through automated and system-level testing — developing Python-based test frameworks, integrating CI pipelines with physical hardware, and collaborating closely with developers to identify issues, ensure reliability, and deliver robust, production-ready embedded solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Configure physical testing setups by connecting microcontroller boards, relays, sensors, and lab equipment to PC-controlled systems

  • Write robust scripts to communicate with hardware (e.g., via UART, CAN, USB), simulate inputs, monitor outputs, and validate system behavior

  • Develop automated test suites for system-level validation (black-box/grey-box) before production

  • Setup pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to automatically flash and test new release candidates on physical hardware

  • Work closely with C developers to reproduce bugs, analyze logs, and identify edge cases

WHAT WE EXPECT:

  • Strong proficiency in Python

  • Ability to read and understand embedded C code and microcontroller application structure

  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and motivated to thoroughly test and uncover potential issues in the code
