At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible - from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.
We're looking for an Embedded DevOps & Operations Lead to establish and lead a new organization-wide engineering function supporting every embedded platform at Orqa.
This is a unique opportunity to build a new engineering function and shape how embedded products are developed, tested, and delivered across the entire organization. Working closely with software, hardware, systems, cybersecurity, quality, and engineering teams, you'll define the infrastructure, automation, and engineering standards that enable developers to move from code to validated, production-ready releases faster, more securely, and at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Establish and lead Orqa's Embedded DevOps & Operations function, defining engineering standards, infrastructure, and ways of working across embedded platforms
Design and standardize CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release processes for embedded firmware, RTOS, and embedded Linux platforms
Develop and scale Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) infrastructure to support automated testing and validation
Drive infrastructure-as-code, developer self-service, and engineering productivity initiatives
Establish secure build, release, and software supply chain practices, integrating DevSecOps throughout the embedded development lifecycle
Partner with software, hardware, systems, cybersecurity, quality, and platform teams to drive cross-platform collaboration, define shared engineering standards, and continuously improve development workflows
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Embedded DevOps & Operations team while promoting knowledge sharing and engineering best practices
Continuously improve the scalability, security, and efficiency of Orqa's embedded development and release processes
Extensive experience leading Embedded DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Build & Release initiatives within embedded or cyber-physical environments
Strong background in embedded software development, DevOps, CI/CD, release engineering, and engineering automation
Hands-on experience with embedded toolchains, cross-compilation, and modern build frameworks
Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with physical hardware, HIL/SIL environments, laboratory automation, and embedded testing infrastructure
Experience integrating security-focused testing into embedded development workflows
Experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and mentoring technical teams
Ability to connect engineering tools, workflows, and product lifecycle systems into scalable engineering processes
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Experience with technologies such as Yocto, Buildroot, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, CMake, Bazel, Conan, or similar embedded platforms and build frameworks
Familiarity with secure software supply chain practices and frameworks such as NIST SP 800-218 (SSDF)
Experience working on regulated or security-critical products, including compliance, audits, or formal security assurance
